I believe in a holistic client-centered approach to therapy. As a former licensed bilingual (Spanish-speaking) occupational therapist, I have worked with clients of all ages and cultural backgrounds, and I have seen firsthand the importance of cultural sensitivity as well as the importance of providing all my clients with a safe warm environment that will allow them to find themselves and live more meaningful mindful lives. I believe that every individual is different, and that therapy should be client-driven. I provide a culturally sensitive mindfulness-based therapeutic approach to mental health by drawing from various therapeutic orientations such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I can provide therapy both in English and in Spanish. My clients when working with me will be able to gain insight on who they are and what they want in their life. They will develop skills and strategies to help them manage their day-to-day mental health struggles.
